Hey folks, watts is volts times amps, so a higher wattage bulb of the correct voltage will burn brighter and draw more from the charging system. In a recent JCWhitney catalog they had halogen 1157's I put in the front lights on my fairing. lots brighter on both turn and cruise. So far the charging system is keeping up with the additional load. If you like LED's the range of applications is increasing daily and soon you will be able to get them and have even brighter longer lasting lights. Will need to get the load device ot a different flasher as they draw very little amps and make the lights blink like one is out. I found some white marine ones that I will adapt to the fairing lights next winter and use sequenceial LED's on the mirrors for turns. Max
